Hello dear followers, I’d like to wish you all a very happy holidays and new year. This time of year is very busy for me, from the first of November when I begin to cram for my finals till the first of January when I get back from Christmas vacation with my family. Posts and answers should begin to even out around the 5th.
This is whats left of Dicky, a small town in Calhoun County. I was privileged enough to get to walk into these buildings during a yard sale held by the owners, I regretfully did not take any photos, however. (Private Property)
I wish that I had more info on this little church, it seems to have gone through a name change.
This is a lovely church that sits right outside of Commissary Hill.
Tennelle Creek is a wet weather creek that runs through Commissary Hill. It was dry when I went to visit. (Private Property)
I’m not sure if New Point Missionary Baptist is currently in use. It’s a lovely church that sits off of a dirt road on a hilltop.

This is a baptizing pool located beside the church. They are usually filled with a garden hose when someone wishes to be saved.
I actually walked up during a Christmas program. I asked the pastor if I could take a photo and he said yes, after writing my car tag down, oddly enough. They must not get many outside visitors.
