I actually walked up during a Christmas program. I asked the pastor if I could take a photo and he said yes, after writing my car tag down, oddly enough. They must not get many outside visitors.
Green Grove church, as it is known by the locals, is a tiny Black church off of Sunset Avenue (Georgia Route 200) in Hawkinstown. Green Grove is also known for its fairly large cemetery located to the left of the church. As of 2014 it still has a congregation.

Old Mount Airy Baptist Church is long gone now thanks to the vandals that set it on fire. It was known as one of the 7 (there have only every been 4, really) ‘haunted’ churches on ‘7 Churches Road’ (Really Hard-Up Road). Some called it the ‘castle church’, it was really just a simple Black church that had lost it’s congregation due to a move. (Private Property)

The Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery sits beside where Oak Grove Baptist Church once sat. Oak Grove Baptist Cemetery is a Black cemetery and is located on land owned by Willow Nook Farms. A new Oak Grove church has been built in another town, but it is now a Free Will Baptist church. (Private Property)
