I believe that there was once a church located along side this cemetery, but I’m unsure.
The Phoebe Home Care center is located in an old service station in Edison.
Philadelphia Cemetery is a Confederate cemetery that sits just outside of Edison, it is one of the oldest in the county.
This cemetery also has something I rarely see…wooden markers!
The Pataula Charter Academy was founded about four or five years ago at the old Plantation Ford dealership in Edison. Since then a few buildings have been added, and the school had grown…slightly. A few private schools like Southwest Georgia Academy were under the impression that if the school had grown they would have been pushed out of business, that hasn’t been the case.
New Freedom Church is a fairly new church in a older church building. I’m not sure what the older church was, nor am I sure what (if any) denomination this church now belongs to. It sits outside of Edison.
Neals Creek is a wet-weather creek, it was barely flowing when I visited. It runs under a few dirt roads outside of Edison. (Private Property)
This church seems to be very well kept, a sight I like to see! The church was founded in 1895, with this modern building being built in 1949.
