This is whats left of Dicky, a small town in Calhoun County. I was privileged enough to get to walk into these buildings during a yard sale held by the owners, I regretfully did not take any photos, however. (Private Property)
I love seeing little country stores like this. I wish it was still open. (Private Property)
I wasn’t quite sure if this store was open or not. If anyone has anymore info I’d love to hear it!
This is a lovely old store in Morgan, I wish that I knew more about it! (Private Property)
This building seemed to have housed a grocery and the Post Office at one time. (Private Property)
Lane Drugs has been in Edison for generations.
Jone’s Grocery was a very small store located just outside of downtown Arlington. It seems to have abandoned for only a few years. (Private Property)
A view through the front window…
Featured in the photo is the old Arlington Bank Building, now home to Covenant World Ministires. I’m unsure if the church is still in operation, but I believe that it is/was an independent Black church.
This tiny store is where Red Store Crossroads got its name. It has been owned various times and is now abandoned. (Private Property)
I’m unsure who owned this or when it closed, but it seems to have been abandoned for some time. It sits directly off of Philipsburg Road (two-lane county paved). (Private Property)
